The Continuing Professional Education (CPE) Department at MD Anderson aims to foster collaboration among healthcare professionals from various disciplines, by creating educational activities that encourage interdisciplinary teamwork, to improve patient care outcomes through effective communication and coordination.

Our purpose is to support the ongoing professional development of healthcare professionals by offering a range of educational activities such as conferences, workshops, online courses, and simulations, to ensure that professionals stay abreast of the latest advancements, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends in oncology care.

The CPE department aims to promote interprofessional collaboration, facilitate lifelong learning, enhance clinical competence, address knowledge and practice gaps, and improve educational effectiveness. By fulfilling the goals and purpose of the department, CPE contributes to the professional growth and development of healthcare professionals, and ultimately benefiting patient care.

In support of improving patient care, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
